After we visit the famine walk memorial along the shores of Doo Lough Lake and then we get official access to Delphi Lodge where we visit the commemorative site where trees were planted in respect in the people who lost their life in 1849.

€35 per person for this tour

Half day mountain bike tour
We start our journey at the entrance to Tawnyard Forest and follow the downhill trail which is sure to give you an adrenaline rush as you cycle into the heart of Tawnyard Forest.
Continuing over the Owenwee river the down hill trail dives through the forest to the Erriff River where we take in the distant views of Killary Harbour. This is our next destination as we take the road under the shadow of the "Devilsmother" mountain.
On arrival at Killary Harbour we stop for a well earned rest to enjoy some refreshments at the majestic Aasleagh Falls.
From here we take the coast road along Killary Harbour, as you cycle you will find yourself side by side with the water as the barrier of the road brings you that close to the Harbour's edge.
We then travel towards the valleys of the mountains, as we cycle towards Doo Lough lake you notice suddenly the mountain of Ben Creggan rise around you.
Its here we complete the loop on our last leg (and by no means least) of the journey. This part is the climb of the valley between the Sheeffry Hills and Ben Creggan towards our starting point at Tawnyard Forest.
The price of this tour is €30 including transfers, Westport Cycle Tours bike bottle and certificate included.

Beaches, Brewery and Bogs Tour
On this tour we travel South along the Wild Atlantic Way visiting St Patrick's church.
From here we have a wonderful treat for you, we visit the home of a local Mescan brewery specializing in brewing a range of Belgium beer which has exploded in popularity since it was established in 2013. It is a must to be tasted for anyone visiting the area!
After a sample of this perfection in a glass we cycle through the local bogs of the area, to see how turf is cut and explain the procedure of how it gets from the ground to the fire!
From the bogs we travel to the coast to observe the spectacular beaches along Clew Bay, after visiting 3 of these beaches this coastal cycle takes us back to our start point at the foot of Croagh Patrick.
